This pictures shows other places in that U.S. where blimp bases were built.
Ginormous!
The great door-way.
This is a "Mini-Guppy and one of the few displays you can climb inside. It's also known as a Boeing 377 Stratocruiser.
The intimidating sign before entering the "Mini- Guppy".
Mrs. Holli Ann exploring the inside of the mini-guppy.
The kids checking out the front of the guppy.
I think the nose of this aircraft is so funny looking. Maybe this is the reason for the name "guppy"
This section of the display kind of wierded out the kids, until they learned that it was just a resting manikin.
We enjoyed our time at the air museum. There is so much to see and learn. Our next stop was the city park for a picnic lunch. It was a beautiful sunshiny day and we are into soaking up that sun, cuz the rain is a-comin!
Next stop the Tillamook Cheese Factory. And no trip is complete without posing behind this photo prop or sitting in the bus.
Look at those blocks of cheesy goodness!
The wonderful sample line- yum!
